Winter Registration

The Andover High School hockey program is highly competitive and strives to achieve success on the ice while also developing young men of character who use the lessons learned to achieve even greater success in life.

Ages

Players must be in 9-12 grade and attending Andover HS or, if home schooled, live in the Andover HS attendance area. If unsure, call the Andover HS Activities office at 763-506-8409.

When

Tryouts will begin on November 16th and conclude on November 18th. Players will be notified of their status on either the 18th or 19th.

Where

All tryouts and practices take place at the Andover Community Center. During tryouts, only returning players will be allowed to dress in the Andover HS hockey locker room. All others will be assigned a locker room by the ACC staff. All players will be allowed to store their equipment in the HS Locker Room.

Practices

We practice or play games six days a week. There are no activities on Sundays. Attendance at all events is mandatory unless an absence is authorized by the team head coach. Travel to all venues other than the ACC is by bus.

Games

The season consists of 25 games for both the Varsity and JV teams. The Varsity will participate in playoff games at the conclusion of the regular season. There are no playoffs for the JV.

Jerseys

Players will be issued a practice jersey as well as home and away game jerseys.

Extra Costs

The Andover Center Ice Club will assess all families a fee to help cover team expenses such as coaching, travel, food, and equipment.

PHYSICAL

All students must have a valid physical on file with Andover HS. A physical is normally valid for three years.
